Quote from: Ben A on September 09, 2025, 08:31:14 AMHi Bob,

The 313s aren't quite ready to ship yet but we will have a production sample on display.  Plus we will have EP1 samples of the K-type Pullmans that you've helped us with.

cheers

Ben A.

Woah! Happy!

From the recent Model Railways Direct wagon sale, I present a couple of Peco 'Ford' items (B'Day pressie for a friend who has a penchant for 'Ford' stock*) with the centre 2 weathered 12T vans being for me. All 4 for £55 inc postage (cue smug grin :) )

* The pallet vans were a lucky find as I think, between them, @Trainfish and @AndyRA have captured the world supply ;)

That's exactly what happened on my grain hoppers  :(

A rake of 10 Dapol 7-plank wagons I've bought, these ones not for me but for my uncle who want's me to do repaints on them & custom decals fitting at some point. One for me is a second new Class 47 sound fitted version in the wrong livery in for a bit of a conversion  >:D

My haul from TINGS. Managed to haggle a little off stickered prices - saves the poor devils having to lug it all home again

The Dapol M7 was BNIB and just £60 - ran it this AM and it's spot-on: goes like a train...  ;)

The green-livery Standard 5MT required a small tweak to the drive links to stop it clacking, and otherwise looks and runs like new.

The Dapol Hymek was also just £60 and supposedly a noisy, poor runner - it's actually mint, all accessories present, and runs very well, but you can hear a tiny plastic cog somewhere is rubbing against something, so I will dismantle and fettle in due course - more than happy just as she stands TBH.

Managing to get a couple of ever-elusive Bulleid coaches in BR(S) green was a big bonus - they seem to be scarce and pricey (£29 upwards usually, when they do show up), similar for the Dapol Maunsell coach (which FWIW is the nicest coach I've ever handled - detailing is superb, and the linking gangway bellows very well implemented.
I have literally no idea what I'm doing...

Looks like a very good bag of swag at some very good prices.

You must be chuffed :-X

You certainly hit the jackpot with those locomotives! Well done!

Revolution Trains Class 66/7 66723 (ZA723) 'Chinook' and 66775 (F231) 'HMS Argyll' [RT-N66-GB-T4U]

Chapeau to Trains4U who will be donating £3000 from the proceeds of this limited edition set, to be shared between the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) and the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC).

Among the Armed Forces community, the Royal Navy is unofficially known as the Senior Service. But IMAO this pair are correctly packaged - with the RAF on top!

Unfortunately, F231 has lost one of her buffer beam steps. Big deal, it's in the box and an easy repair. For me it's just part of the price of having such finely detailed models.

Also, with so many new locos arriving in quick succession, MBH - who works from home - is beginning to ask uncomfortable questions. She hasn't yet asked "How many more?" which is good, because I don't think she'd like the answer.  :-[

If the RAF isn't above the Royal Navy we're all in deep trouble! ;)

In the same situation here, unfortunately we are currently travelling and they are all turning up whilst we are away. So when we get home there will be a pile of 66's and probably the WIA's as well. I think I may be up for serious WTF questions.

This little beauty just arrived from a well known auction site. Union Mills LNER J39

put a bid in as they were selling them at non-silly prices and I don't have enough UM locos :)

Runs nicely and even has its original box and manual.

In 1965 I received this Tri-ang trainset, and that was it...

60 years on, I found this beauty on that auction site.

It runs just as effortlessly as the one I had in 1965. I don't mind that it's got moulded handrails or bright wheels. This is the reason for making space in my stock drawers :)
