Dunking food/biscuits in drinks.......

Seem to have sparked a massive discussion at work today after returning from the canteen with a Cappuccino and a croissant and proceeding to dunk the croissant in the coffee. 

Would have thought I had murdered someone by the look of horror I got from one of the nurses 

Apparently the majority are against biscuit dunking etc entirely. Best bit in my opinion!

I would never dunk biscuits in my drinks - heck, I don't even dunk ice in my whisky

must admit I never really liked hot chocolate ...

but one night when I was on evening shift on the airfield in NI, and the snow clearance crews were out, wandered past them as they were having a break and was offered a corned beef sarnie, well more a doorstop, and one for A/D Rex as well  and a mug of hot chocolate, think it was navy, CHI ??, with a tot of rum in it. 

really warmed me up, and very much appreciated their sharing their break with us.

KFC, Coke and root beer are all disgusting. I dread to think what they are like together...

Dunking has been scientifically proven  to improve mental health and wellbeing.

So far I have found no reason to doubt this having dunked a whole range of comestibles in my time, including, but not limited to, MvVities Digestives (with or without chocolate, plain or milk), Ginger Nuts, Custard Creams, Bourbons, Squashed-Fly biscuits, and Penguins.

The latter (not the feathered variety) is a special case, as the dunking is merely a precursor to using the biscuit, while one end is still in the hot liquid of choice, in the manner of a straw, drawing up the fluid through the layers within the chocolate covering.
WARNING!: this is inevitably a messy business.
