Hi

According to the Bachmann website this will be the BR version not the LMS one.

Cheers

So that's 3 diesels and 3 steamers for me (assuming I get a late crest weathered Jinty and a Coronation) plus rolling stock.
Note to boss - Dear Sir, can I have a salary increase please?

Thanks Paul,

I was watching two different sources of information, so typically copied the wrong one  :-[

My dissapointment there is the continued lack of the 60ft Staniers...
Not quite the same but the Farish website also has the LMS 50ft full brakes listed, though I can't see them mentioned in the announcement.
Including a weathered crimson version, at the same RRP as the non-weathered versions. Is this the first weathered Farish coach?

I'm very pleased to hear about the Merchant Navy, means I don't have to buy a Dapol one. I don't like to be rude but given the choice I would always pick Farish over Dapol.

I have a few Dapol locos but I just feel that Farish ones are slightly better made.

Regards

Veronica.

I tend to agree with you on that, Veronica. I have 2 x MN's from Farish and they are smashing runners, but that front bogie is just awful so hopefully there'll be an improvement in that department.
Mind you, there's no pic on their website of the late crest version :(

Looks like we'll have to rely on Dapol for the West Country light pacific though ???

Suprises - the MN given Dapol are doing at the Light Pacifics (or is it a deliberate 'spoiler') though I suppose GF would want something of their own to go with the Bulleid coaches
Probably not a spoiler really. They are different locos and I am sure people in the market for WC and BoB classes would be happy to get a MN as well.

Given the speculation about Dapol doing some Maunsell coaches, SR modellers are suddenly facing the prospect of a flood after the drought.

Well, that's just not good enough. Some fount of all knowledge you are!   ;)

I've replaced the front bogies on my MN locos with N Brass ones, they make a big difference.

All those new 37's.... :o :o ;D. I'm going to have to find new ways of getting things through the front door because I can see at least four coming my way

Today's Experts were yesterday's Beginners :)

MacRat

class 37174 - typical.  ::)
I already have the donor, the colours and all the decals to do that one. Just waited for motivation to actually start spraying.
What to make from that spare loco now, simply renumber, DRS?

Great to see the class 37/4 and class 70.
Had hoped for MK2e/f or a retool of an electric, next year then.

SymonC

Do we have an actual date for when the catalogue will be available for purchase?

I feel a visit to The Signal Box in Rochester is on the cards :)

OwL

Very excited about the announcements. I'm definitely going to bag both versions of the 37 (97!), and I'm pleased they are doing a Predator (class 70) although I assumed they would after the 00 version being released.
I would have expected a few more re- liveries though, especially as Stu pointed out with the class 47's (and also being 50 years since the first production 47's rolled off the production line at Brush!)

In a way it's good that they haven't promised too much as it gives me time to save and time to buy those things off the 2011 cat that i haven't got yet. I suppose not announcing too much will mean they will deliver................ I know they have 9 months left of 2012 but dare i mention 'midland pulman' anyone ? Plus several rolling stock releases like nuke flasks.

All in all I can't wait to see their catalogue. Always shows good investment in the hobby no matter what your era or tastes and gives us all something to gossip about ;)

Had a faint hope that a SWT Blue Desiro might have been announced - as there are about three times the number of this variant over the London Midland variety.

My next (even fainter hope) hope is that Dapol announce the Pendolino or an Electrostar.
Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy

Very Chuffed (of Clagged if you prefer diesel) with this year's announcements.
Fair few locos that catch my eye:
Network Rail 97
Class 70
A2 Blue Peter
Brunswick Tornado
DBS Class 60
Plus a few more...

And also no less than 20 or so coaches to add to the collection! :D

Last i heard Dapol stated they would be announcing one new Steam, Diesel and 1st Gen Unit. As much as i'd love a Pendo i don't think we'll be seeing one too soon :/

Grim news for us current day passenger express modellers.

Glad there is stuff of interest in the catalogue for the rest of you though!
