Cheers,

I haven't heard that before.
Very nice though. Thanks Tim

Quote from: Moonglum on May 22, 2025, 04:30:07 PMI meant to say Rob @Foxhound , that your interesting musical choice above reminded me that my very first LP (i.e. purchased by money out of my own pocket) was on the Trojan record label, Nicky Thomas's "Love of the Common People" (1970). I have it on CD but rarely play it.

Tim

I have a few Nicky Thomas tracks, he's got a great voice.

I love a bit of reggae

One of the very best musical performances I've ever seen was The Wailers on The Other Stage at Glastonbury around 17 years ago.
They were absolutely phenomenal on the day.

I remember seeing people like Clint Eastwood & General Saint, Steel Pulse and Aswad on shows like Old Grey Whistle Test or Rock Goes to College. I've never been to Glasto, and would love to have seen The Wailers.

Glasto is a great experience which I'd recommend to everyone (even if it can be a tad wet to say the least).
I've been around eight times but stopped going some 10 years ago when they  increased the number of attendees. In my opinion it's just too busy nowadays.
If you like your beer (or zider) then the Cider Bus is a must.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

A bit of light entertainment this morning from the Bonzos including a fun track (remember you have to know how to play an instrument properly before you can deliberately play it badly)

Followed by something a bit more serious, and maybe my all time favourite Led Zep track

Edit:- just stumbled across this lass - shame the backing track is nowhere near as good as she is (several more tracks on YouTube)

Trainfish

I especially liked that last one. She certainly knows how to use her attributes to keep her guitar firmly against her body too  :hmmm:

Time for some noise (of the highest quality!). I was saddened to hear of the recent death of Simon House (violin/keyboards). I first heard Simon playing on the first album by High Tide, Simon has played with David Bowie and Hawkwind amongst others. So here he is, very much in the lead, with Hawkwind recorded live in Nottingham (1990)...

RIP Simon (1948 -2025).

Brilliant, saw them in 1979 and could not hear for the next three days.

Newportnobby

To think I was well into Hawkwind, but 27 years before that Nottingham recording!
Yus - I is old :D

Moonglum

Mick, have you got your arithmetic correct? Hawkwind formed in 1969!
