Martin @port perran , true story, in my latter days at Network Rail (circa 2011) I was in the office at Waterloo Station when one of the younger commercial manager's mobile rang, the ring tone was Frank Zappa's "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow" from his album "Apostrophe". I surprised the CM by knowing the tune, he asked me if I knew anything by "Porcupine Tree" (Steve Wilson's band). I said no and he ripped and burnt me a copy of "The Incident" which I still have; so, in answer to your question, I am not totally obsessed but from that introduction I do like his output. Here from that album is "Time Flies" (bit Floydy)...

I must admit that I initially misread @kusojiji 's post thinking it said Blackfield (another Steven Wilson collaboration for you Martin @port perran !)

Anyway, Outfield is not really my thing so here is some Blackfield from 2007...

I'd never heard of 'Blackfield' before ( ) so I downloaded 'Epidemic' and 3 other tracks as I like them so much

@kusojiji , obviously I remember "Don't Fear the Reaper" but that's it for BOC. This is a new one on me so I looked it up. The lyrics I assume are by Michael Moorcock*, a science fiction/fantasy writer that was also very much involved with Hawkwind ("The Chronicles of the Black Sword" for example). Most interesting thank you - the track's not bad either.

As per @Moonglum I know little of BOC apart from, as Tim suggests, the obvious Reaper.

That track isn't really my cuppa but not bad. Reminds me a bit of Black Widow  who I saw a couple of times in the early 70s.

And @Moonglum , I rather like Time Flies by Porcupine Tree. Good stuff.
