John @Trainfish , I listened to the new release of Pink Floyd's "Live at Pompeii (1972)", as remixed by Steven Wilson last night. Really enjoyed it a lot.

Trainfish

@Moonglum Tim, I wanted to go and see it and almost did on Tuesday in Bath but it was on a 'small' screen at the Odeon. Ideally I wanted to see it at the iMax in Brizzle but left it too late due to various reasons. I'm sure it will be on Sky or Youtube somewhere so I will watch it soon

Quote from: port perran on May 18, 2025, 07:32:47 AMAs for Nightwish @Newportnobby that's just a noise although Bir Seyler is interesting.

As the saying goes "You can lead a horse to water................"

Just catching up! Nightwish might be just noise Martin but it's good noise (IMO), I did watch the Turkish Detective Mick and clocked the theme music. That's a lot of David Gilmour (two and a half hours) - have to come back to that John.

Cheers,

That reminds me of my surfing days at Saunton Sands North Devon! Nice music as well.

You might recognise the toon, but not necessarily know who performed it

For a moment I thought I saw the Headland Hotel at Newquay in the video but the sea looked too 'big'....?

I meant to say Rob @Foxhound , that your interesting musical choice above reminded me that my very first LP (i.e. purchased by money out of my own pocket) was on the Trojan record label, Nicky Thomas's "Love of the Common People" (1970). I have it on CD but rarely play it.

A nice choice @Foxhound.
I love a bit of reggae

One of the very best musical performances I've ever seen was The Wailers on The Other Stage at Glastonbury around 17 years ago.
They were absolutely phenomenal on the day.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Something I came a ross the other day.
Noah Bichsel was born and raised in Switzerland he taught himself to play guitar.
Here's an example of his uptempo work entitled Comfortably Swing.

See what you think and also what's this track based on?
I'm not sure if  @Trainfish will be too impressed.

Or maybe he will be impressed. We shall see.

And by the way, I rather like it.

I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Newportnobby

To me it's based on 'Sultans of Swing'.
Pleasant but not really my cuppa tea (as opposed to Dire Straits)

Going back to Reggae and Nicky Thomas, I liked this track from LOTHCP...
