Is it factory weathered?

And yes, the size of packaging is a big bugbear of mine. Not sure what can be done about it though.

Order more than 1 of everything. It works for me

thats ok when you are only paying for local shipping, but when they do this for international shipping where you pay by volume it can be really REALLY annoying.

Looks like a box of anemic cheesy wotsits with a hidden free toy.

I was just going to say "a box, but that's not important right now"*
Yours is much better

The office Secret Santa was almost a disaster for me, whoever drew my name out of the hat (I have since discovered it was the young trainee who is desperate to impress the boss (me)), bought me some garishly decorated Hornby plank wagon device in 'Orrible Overscale. Fortunately, they had the foresight to include a gift receipt for Antics.
I duly sallied forth to the city centre last week and secured a swap (with a small financial top-up) for this much more pleasing offering. Worth jostling with the shuffling hordes of vapers and mumblers to get it, and excellent customer service from Plymouth's branch of Antics. In fact, I was so pleased I forgot to buy myself a pasty!

A couple of great items there.

I had been after a dapol class 50 ....finally found one on new railway modellers site, superb service and packaging.(If you follow Sam's trains , he has an interesting rand about Hornby their packaging using a 3rd party provider...and quite rightly so).
And popped into my local shop and found a V2 Green Arrow second hand at a nice price, appreciate that is a first generation model, so has a horribly lightweight tender which doesn't help the power supply, but a little tweaking of the contacts , and some additional weight has helped the running.

Another Class 66 from Rainbow Railways turned up today to join the other bunch I have  :D . Just waiting on my baseboards now so I can start my layout

I hope they do more of these special liveries.

Seven. Noice. I'm mulling over one from One to Six. :-\  Maybe all six. :-[

Five seemed oddly popular; with only 1 left when I ordered. I actually forget which one I got! The number looks a little odd in that photo. I'm presuming these have been finished by Rainbow in part, like the bespoke models. Interested to see what the quality is like.

Graham

Ordered number one, just pondering on another.
As @njee20 mentioned 5 and 7 appear popular, now down to 4 of each left, whilst all the others are showing 5+

Yeah the numbers and nameplates are added by Rainbow. To be honest I wouldn't be able to tell unless told, looks just like a factory finish to me . May look odd in the photo but doesn't look like it on the model

There was only one Five when I ordered, which perhaps suggests they're finishing models as they go, rather than having done a batch at the start.

That's good. It does look a little like the number is falling off the side of the loco, but good if it looks fine in the flesh. I continue to find the total absence of photos of the bespoke models odd, I may want a Freightliner one, but want to see one first!
