Someone else I came across at the weekend and I'd no idea he'd released any solo stuff.
A bit of a laid back Mark Knopfler but that's not at all surprising I guess.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Ok so not listening to it now but around about this time of the evening a week ago Friday I was part of the crowd in this video. I just thought it was worth another post rather than just in this post.

Possibly the best album put out by Ten Years After (however, mine is in glorious stereo :) )

Thanks Mick @Newportnobby .
I quite liked Ten Years After but haven't listened to them for a while.

I've had Cream on this afternoon in the train room.
I'm not sure if we've covered them on here before so thought I'd post something of theirs.

They were a tiny bit before my time of really getting into music but my friend had an older brother who was forever playing rather battered copies of Disraeli Gears and Wheels of Fire so I  got used to it and grew to appreciate the band.

Here's a somewhat ancient clip of Sunshine of Your Love :

PS I'm not sure what Jack Bruce has got on his head

A bit before my time as well, apart from their classics, I never really took to "Cream" but "TYA" are OK. Somewhere, I have a burnt copy of "Live at Fillmore East".

Cream were a great band with 'Crossroads' as their stand out track for me (Jack Bruce's bass is scorching!). We used to have a local band in Northampton whose rendition of 'Born under a bad sign' would have blown Cream off the stage. Astonishing, really

The big problem with clips like that Cream one is that the photographers of the day did not know what was going on.

Whoever filmed that or edited it missed all of Clapton's guitar solo!
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

ELO Confusion. Really like the supporting harmony.

I am afraid that ELO have never really appealed to me despite their enormous success. I don't know The Babys at all, not bad I have to say.

I've always liked ELO since I saw them in Northampton in the early days (10538 Overture, anyone?)

I'll pretty much echo the thoughts of @Moonglum in that I'm no great fan of ELO who are a little too poppy for my likes.

Never heard of The Babys before.
That initial track doesn't really do it for me but I'll look up some more tracks this afternoon and then see what I think about them.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.
