Took my Qashqai into the dealer this morning to have the camera/radar system replaced as there is a random fault causing the Emergency Lane Assist warning to come on. I pay for a courtesy car but why, oh why, do they give you a car with the low fuel warning light already on? I was going to do a couple of errands today but, instead, I'll sit tight until they tell me my car is ready then I'll return theirs with even less fuel in it

That's crap. Makes me more content I didn't fill the tank up when I took the rental car back in 23.

My car was due at the dealers for a recall today. They even checked whether I was still going yesterday. Drove the 30+ miles this morning to be told the recall is now no longer applicable to my car, they'd only been notified this morning.

Half days holiday wasted.

My citron C3 is on a recall for the airbags I have now had a do not drive notice
garage cannot get parts till the 12 of August so just over 5 weeks without the car
good job I don't use it much will be online shops till then

That reminds me...

A few years ago I had a couple of operations to straighten out some toes. Mrs Papyrus asked the consultant if he did anything else apart from feet.

"No, just feet," he says.

"Why feet?"

"Well, it's better than bums..."

Anyway, back to the matter in hand. Just come back from the opticians where I saw a lovely lady called Rachna, may peace and blessings rain down upon her. She couldn't understand why the glasses weren't correcting the double vision, but every test she tried seemed to indicate it wasn't astigmatism. I had been told I had incipient cataracts but they weren't bad enough to operate on, but she thinks they were mimicking the effect of astigmatism. So she has referred me for surgery. Better still, I am OK to drive with my present glasses. Huzzah! There'll be dancing on the streets tonight.
