Thanks for those two links.
Very nice both of them.
Talking of Arlo Guthrie, this to me is an all time classic.
You'll have to be in for the long haul though.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

That brings back memories! Please stop reminding me how old I am
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

Moonglum

Sorry chaps but you are veering off in the wrong direction for me! I did like the Gordon Lightfoot though.

Cheers,

Continuing in the folky direction, I rather liked Trader Horne who consisted of Jackie McAuley (ex Them) and Judy Dyble who was originally with Fairport Convention
I saw them in 1971, I think, at Salisbury.

Staying on the folky theme, I love this (and it's about railroads :) )

I remember going to a bar in the bay area of california in the early 90's. My memory has it like a sports bar. Anyway, everytime this song would play, the entire place would stop doing whatever and start singing along. Booze may have been involved haha.

Thanks for this one!

For fans of progressive rock I came across this Canadian band today.
They were formed in 1986 but as far as I'm concerned they have definitely been beneath the radar.
I quite like this :

Sorry. It was sounding hopeful but then the vocals came in and I really didn't like them

EtchedPixels

Some Talco but rather more mellow than most of their usual stuff

and next week the new Half Man Half Biscuit album is out. I'm currently also listening to the released track but it's title doesn't meet forum rules 8)

I like this track by Mystery as well but it has been on my Rader for a while now. The lead singer Jean Pageau sung on a John Holden CD I have "Circles in Time". Here's a sampler of John Holden's music, with an interesting video...

@Moonglum I rather like that John Holden track and as you say an interesting video.

@EtchedPixels I also like Talco to an extent but not sure I could sit through too much of it

As for Half Man Half Biscuit they aren't really my thing but I first heard them on the John Peel Show in the mid 80s or thereabouts.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

The Cowsills The Rain, The Park and Other Things. Strange title, woulda thought it would be I Love the Flower Girl.

Love this song. Tortured family, though with a few of them dying young.

Sorry - too flowery for me I'm afraid.
