Talking of old rockers......an unlikely pairing maybe :
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

@port perran That was right up my strasse, Martin. Thank you.
In the meantime I've been playing some old Whitesnake including these 2. I rate David Coverdale's voice as being a close second to Paul Rodgers

Moonglum

Carrying on the Dream Theater theme Mick @Newportnobby , I don't know what you will make of these two by Jordan Rudess (with our very own That Joe Payne on vocals and from Northampton)...

Cheers,

Tim

Thumbs up for the Donovan/Gilmour track Martin @port perran .

Moonglum

Martin @port perran might like this...

Or might not...

She's no bad drummer

@ moonglum Tim - re Jordan Rudess, the first one jangled my nerves and I didn't like it. The second one I thought the video was better than the song so, sorry, but they're a MISS from me

I do quite like it but just a little too "drum forward" I think.

I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Moonglum

I remember BJH but sadly one of the bands that passed me by at the time.

Quote from: Bealman on April 14, 2025, 09:17:35 AMJust stumbled on to Wishbone Ash Argus album which I used to hold in high esteem.
It's still good. Two lead guitars, for heavens sake!  :beers:

As had Thin Lizzy, and both bands were formed in 1969. However, they were beaten by The Yardbirds who, of course, had lead guitars in Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page as opposed to the likes of The Shadows who had a lead and a rhythm guitar

How did I miss this post? Thankfully @Newportnobby pointed me in the right direction and thanks to @port perran for posting it. A cringeworthy track but some really nice guitar work from Mr Gilmour.

I must pay more attention in future.

Is there any way to filter out the vocals?

There are just 2 tracks on the album featuring David Gilmour and the other one isn't up to much IMHO
