Straight from Model Rails Direct Spring sale, I purchased a weathered class 24 which runs superbly and a weathered brake van. All for £95 including postage :)

A couple of long overdue purchases.

A Fruit D van (c/o Antics) to add to my D63xx and two coaches, a la Callington branch back in the day.

And former Laira stalwart 25326 (c/o eBay) to run my 1970s clay train.

All very nice. I particularly like that class 24.

Ordered this 150/1 from the Model Railways Direct sale. Fantastic price on it - Some people are selling these elsewhere for £100 more! Ordered at about twenty past 4 on Thursday, arrived by midday Friday, run in by 2pm Friday and weathered by 6pm on Friday!

Great service and a nice addition to the layout.

Not my cup of tea, but great service, price, and a lovely model!

Apparently mine are on their way today as well.

Is it appropriate to sit at the end of the road waiting for postie??

Yes of course it is. Even better, put a hat in front of you with a few coins in it and you may be able to get some more money for the train fund. I don't suppose you play a guitar do you?

You don't want me playing any musical instrument I can assure you!

Anyway the wagons are here and have been inspected.

They look lovely, and the one set I have been able test so far is also lovely running.

Alas further playing is prevented because apparently the process of removing the wagons from their blister pack is too loud for my lad in his room next door!  ::)

Anyway, a fun Sunday awaits!

There's a simple solution to that. Earplugs. Or whisky.

Well that suggestion has earned me a look  :uneasy:

I think we've all received that look before from our beloveds  :smiley-laughing:

I ran my Cartics today and I have to say they really are outstanding models. They run really well and I don't believe there will be any issues with loading them up either. Well, apart from the fact that you have to be careful what you put on the bottom deck as some cars can be a bit snug:
