While we are looking a Krautrock, how about this from Can.
According to an old diary I saw Can in London in 72 but I'm afraid I don't actually remember it.
Maybe it was forgettable :
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Something to blow the cobwebs away.
I've never been a great fan of Green Day I'm afraid and this doesn't really alter my opinion.
Thank you for sharing though.

I quite enjoy Green Day. As far as Can goes I have the vinyl double album 'Tago Mago' and my favourite track is 'Oh Yeah'

Moonglum

Well, Green Day - I am not really familiar with them at all - but not bad.

I have heard Can but not this track - not bad but the drumming is not great (IMO).

So after the thumbs down to Brainticket, back (I hope) to safer ground  This band were at their peak in the late 1970s and Messrs Fagen and Becker bought in some stellar session jazz, rock and rhythm and blues players for probably their best albums but to be fair all their albums are good.

This track appears on a soundtrack but not on any studio album and is one of my favourites...

Cheers,

Tim

Miss Jenkins!

On HMS Queen Elizabeth.

With a languid percussionist and a Grenadier officer (CO, I think) who looks like he wishes he had joined the Royal Navy.  Hopefully, he'll be invited to the Captain's drinks party afterwards.  Admiral of the Fleet and Admiral in attendance.  Is Miss Jenkins fazed?

With all good wishes

John

The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1930s to the 1950s.

I was a bit of a fan of Steely Dan back in the late 70s/80s.
Time to revisit them methinks.
Thanks Tim
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Whilst on the subject of Steely Dan.
Both Donald Fagen and Walter Becker went on to have successful solo careers after the demise of SD.
Here's Don Fagen with a few illustrious friends performing a song you might well know :

Great share Martin @port perran - great musicians - not seen it before.

To help you revisit Steely Dan here from "The Royal Scam" is "Don't Take Me Alive" with Larry Carlton on fire with his guitar...

Tim

Some old Hawkwind stuff :headbang:
The rhythm section of Simon King on drums and Lemmy on bass is just awesome :)

Moonglum

Although I agree that Lemmy and Simon were very good, so were Dave Anderson and Terry Ollis as heard on "In Search of Space" and in particular on this track...

Cheers,

Tim

Nothing like an "Orgone Accumulator"! I saw Hawkwind on the Space Ritual tour!
