Plenty of other people have posted photos of these before, but I received my set of 6 from Robbie Burns today and I am so pleased with them I make no excuse for showing the wagons again.  I am dead chuffed with the set, a top job Robbie and thanks very much

They look amazing Dizz.  As a matter of interest, what was the cost?

Off topic Dizz but your picture of the wagons is the right way up for me.
If it looks right then it most probably is right.

The latest loco to grace Oakford Hills

Dapol Class 58 in EWS Livery, 58037.

Whilst strictly a Rule 1 purchase currently, I am planning an EWS themed layout at some point.

This was a grand buy, I sold my dapol 9F due to not really running it much, and then asked the question on facebook if anyone had one of these for sale or would be willing to part with one, and boom 2 days later I have one in my possession for £75, not bad since hattons are asking £78 for one with a missing coupling and missing buffers.
It is sitting on my test track currently because major electrical work (point motors) is taking place on the main layout.
Don't try to be a great man, just be a man.
Let history make it's own judgments.

Took delivery of a Union Mills 'Super D' G2 yesterday and will try to add vacuum pipes, real coal and blacken the motion. However, I am notoriously slow at getting a round tuit :-[

I love the Union Mills Super D Newportnobby.  Bought one for HOLLERTON JUNCTION first time around.  The UM manufacturing process really suits these heavy duty freight locomotives.

As we all know UM don't have the detailing of Farish/Dapol/RevolutioN but what can you expect for just 85 of our pounds?
(It could probably pull the layout out of the mancave, too!)

Nice set.  All you needed was a loco and guards van to look even better.
Reading the wagon names caused me a chuckle though; "Pugh, Pugh, McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb" sounded like a law firm.
To be called pompous and arrogant - hell of a come down.
I tried so hard to be snobbish and haughty.
