Still awaiting the new or rather reworked 5MT & N Class with built in Sound, does the rework from 6pin to Next18 and factory fitting a speaker count as new  ???

NGM

I think that's a fair question. Arguably there is inevitably to be some "new" tooling in the tender but it is debatable whether that classes them as a "new" model, I would say they are improved existing ones.

I was meaning completely new steam models from the ground up. I look at the 00 range and ask what would I put through the "shrink ray" and I think the two most obvious would be the V2 and the 94xx...

Their Ivatt 2 Tank engine would make a nice addition to their Ivatt 2 Tender engine

My crimson livery 8F with sound has just been delivered. First impressions are excellent. Looking forward to test running it later but the detail on it is fabulous.

A re-tooled Crab rebuilt Merchant Navy would be nice.

I can't see Bachmann/Farish doing the Ivatt class 2 tank engine whilst Dapol have the tooling for one sitting on their shelves. Hopefully it'll follow the M7 with a chassis upgrade.

63, If I counted correctly that's only 2 more than your old 3Mt, which is more of an indication as to how good the 3MT is rather than anything against the 8F which is a superb model and probably their best to date.

NGM

The 3MT did 58, so 5 different, but yes, I think that it does show that the 3MT punched above its weight in this area.

Cheers,
Alan

Me, for one - the only way I could justify it on my LNER layout (it's a class O6 newly out-shopped from Darlington Works).

Had it test run before purchase by my preferred pusher model shop in York - runs sweet as a nut.

Best
