The first APP album I heard/owned was "Pyramid" and consequently bought more. But by the time of "Eye in the Sky" his output had become too samey for me and that was that! The APP was very successful in North America and South America and Europe, more so than here.

Wrapping up at the gym to this bilstering piece.
Spend as little as possible on what you need so you can spend as much as possible on what you want.

Have we had King Crimson on here yet? I have been listening to a King Crimson - based MOJO magazine cover CD from a couple of years ago ... ...

Not that I recall Chas @madchadbrad , but where do you start...

Too early for 21st Century Schizoid Man.

Love it when they start going down the toms. Drumlines are awesome.

I saw King Crimson three times in the very early 70s and always thought of them as being innovative and pushing the boundaries.
To me In the Court of the Crimson King was their best album.

I rather liked the later album from former members Ian McDonald and Michael Giles with the concept track birdman, the whole of side 2, being the highlight.
Unfortunately it's not on you tube these days so no link but if you can find it have a listen.

The Moody Blues were probably its greatest exponents :

I was never that hot on The Moodies. At school they were classed as a 'girlie' band :-X
Now BJH, King Crimson, The Strawbs etc were a different kettle of fish

Now the Moodies were seen as quite cool at my school. Probably a South v North thing.

I liked BJH , King Crimson and The Strawbs too although, for some reason, I never saw BJH.

Anyway, talking of Kettles of Fish...... :D
