Being a retired postie it is sad to see how far they've fallen apart; I hear many stories from my ex colleagues about lack of staff etc and staff not being bothered anymore because their bosses aren't.
I'd not seen our postie for days then on Wednesday received 11 letters which for us is about 2 weeks worth. Not even Christmas cars but letters that had been hanging around.

Many, many years ago I used to do temp work at Post Office sorting offices for Christmas money and it seemed the general rule was do what you want and at the end of each day pack things up and send them to another town/city

Not just the post. DPD have just delivered or not two packages today.

One of them arrived, the other one "the delivery driver couldn't find the address"

Apart from the fact they managed to deliver one and not the other the house has been here, with the same address for 160 years. So half the order is now heading back to the supplier, and if the supplier won't fix that they are going to be arranging the collection of the rest of it too.

My father very very long ago did temp post office work. He refused to write the word "fragile" on a package ever since as he thought it just made it a target  :(

Well, at least it has made it back to B and apparently now at D which is a 10 minute walk from here:

And it will be delivered by 14:25. It's now 15:20  :hmmm:

If they did their ears must be well ablaze as I didn't pull any punches and basically accused them of downright lying

glad to know it's not just my parcels that royal snail mucks up. RM 24 seems to mean 'sometime within 24 days' to RS.

of course not, or they would improve their service.
just wonder how much they make from customers having to wait in excess of 50 mins to get through to complain by phone

Trainfish

After this week's shenanigans waiting 6 days for a tracked 48 parcel I'm hoping not to get angry with RM again this week. However, we are due to have fibre connected by Sky on Friday who have informed me today that the router has been posted out. Guess what they have used to post it. Yep, tracked 48 :censored:

You have been warned.
