caught a new program (well new to me) on TV over Christmas.

"worlds most scenic railway journey" which is a live coverage of the journey from Fort William to Mallaig aboard the Jacobite steam train hauled by a black 5.

Extra interest for me as we did the journey ourselves last year, all be in in much less sunny conditions!

Still available on channel 5's catch up service.

The Yorkshire Steam Railway: All Aboard
Channel 5, 8.00pm

The eccentric crew who keep the beautiful North Yorkshire Steam Railway on the rails puff onto our screens for a very welcome third season. This week, we follow trainee driver Phil as he ends up getting into a lather on a bank holiday; marketing boss Laura, meanwhile, comes up with an intriguing plan to try to brighten up the line during the festive season.

Tonight and weekly - there are other episodes to download
