MinZaPint

Well not just one! went to the Wimborne Beer festival yesterday, started with "Pale Rider" from Kelham Island (Sheffield) and finished with "Infinity" from Blue Monkey (Ilkeston) lot of water (laced with malt & hops) under the bridge in between.   Lovely "Red Devon" Beef burgers for soakers.  :food:
Cogito Sumere potum alterum

barneytiffy

Mine's a throwback from army days. Some called me Barney and I was a Vehicle Artificer. Hence barneytiffy. I also left in 1980 after 23 years

From Wolverton (on what is now the WCML) there ran a branch line to Newport Pagnell and the local train was known as Newport Nobby (or Nobby Newport).

What a superb piece of history and a brilliant way to get your forum name

What a coincedence that it is now a psycho cycle path  :smiley-laughing:  :smiley-laughing:  :smiley-laughing:

cheers John.

On another forum (at least I think it was another and not this one) they had a similar thread and I told them that my username was my profession and that I trained fish. I think some actually believed me  ::)

You mean, you don't?!  :bounce:

It depends on what you want them to learn to do. Walkies are a little difficult

To see my layout "Longcroft" which is currently under construction, you'll have to click on the dead fish below

Flakmunky

Used to play Unreal Tournament a lot in the studio where I worked...

If you made a large number of kills with the Flak Cannon, you were awarded the title 'Flak Monkey'... My fellow animators took the name up and it stuck...

If you aren't a geek that might not mean anything!

4x2

Originally my user name was 4x2ybecauseican. I've build (and never finished  :-[) loads of 4 foot by 2 foot layouts, mainly 'cos i was a lazy so-and-so and couldn't be bothered to cut any wood....Hence the name ! But it was quite a mouthful and i got fed up of typing it out, so i shortened it to 4x2.

I've got braver now though... My current US N scale layout 'Earlstone Creek' is 5'6" x 22"   :D

I'm also building a Z gauge layout 36" x 18" - but that's for another forum....  ::)
If it's got rails... you have my full, undivided attention - Steam, diesel and electric, 'tis all good !

bigbear

I'm Bigbear because my kids, when little, used to say I was like a big bear when I got annoyed... (See what fear I induced in them even then? - Pah!). Since then, it's been my nickname on forums, ebay, and at work... Sometimes with a UK tagged on if there's a bigbear around already. My business is called Big Bear Recordings too, so I guess I'll never escape it now.

trainsdownunder

My user name......
I like trains
I live in Australia......... hence 'trainsdownunder' .....QED.

Also an Arsenal fan so my other ego is 'grumpygooner'.

My first ever forum name, not here, and still current ebay name was hockeynetbuster - Used to be a centrefoward in my favourite sport of field hockey. Stopped using it mainly as I became a qualified GK coach and felt it didn't quite fit anymore Still play and also active as a coach for the local school.
