So, not the song by Ozzy Osbourne, or the guitar pickup that's named after it? ;)
[This is fun]

Does Ozzy actually qualify as a SINGER ??????

Tank

Ozzy is a superb singer! :music: :music: :music:

Much as I like Ronnie James Dio, I'd still rather hear Ozzy sing Warpigs or Paranoid...
And I'd still rather hear Bob Dylan sing the stuff he wrote than... well, hear almost anybody else sing them.
And yes, Freddie Mercury was great. [And the Metallica cover of Stone Cold Crazy is nowhere near as good as the original]
One moment while I look behind the sofa for the point I had when I started writing this... Nope, it's not there.
I just keep trying to get a little better
Said a little better than before

Ah, good old Bob Dylan  He is fantastic but still holds the record for the  most boring song ever recorded.

My username is my name and then initial of my surname.....boring isn't it?

Lawrence

Salor Charon seems to be our only regular female poster, so as far as I am concerned, whatever she says - it's right!  I know my place  ::)

I'll drink to that Lawrence !!   :beers:

Moogles are also a kind of cute critter from the various Final Fantasy RPGs. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Moogle

So thats what they look like. I'd heard of them. Thought my nickname was unique at 1st.  :(
Well I'm nothing like them. No big ears, wings or pom-pom's. And I'm not small or cute either!  :smiley-laughing:
Good job you went for the non-mythological version of Charon.

Amen to that. Though to be honest, every Queen album is great. (Yes, I have them all, some even on Vinyl!  :o)

Definitely. He's also a Prince. The Prince of Darkness!

And if Elvis was King, then Freddie was certainly Queen.

As for God...

...thats Lemmy.

Found this old thread in a link from Anselm's layout thread, and since there's a lot more of us on here now thought it'd be fun to resurrect it, so . . .

:D

Sprintex: Anyone who's looked at my website will probably have seen where the name comes from, but a here's a quick explanation. Me and the misses are heavily into our Ford Sierras, after all that's how we met! Mine is a 1990 XR4x4 2.9i V6 model which I've had for 12 years now, and a few years back I managed to purchase a VERY rare Sprintex Supercharger kit for it - they only ever made 12 kits before the company marketing them changed to making big-CC engines instead. There appears to be only about three of these kits left, and the other two may not be complete, whereas mine came from a fully-working car and is complete and original  :). Unfortunately time and mileage (240,000 miles to be precise!) have taken their toll on the car itself so it's now a long-term project to return the car to showroom condition before I bolt the supercharger kit on and have a positively unique car to take to shows

Here she is just before she came off the road for the rebuild:-

Mine was my previous Ebay password, which was from a character in Carry on Cleo.

Jack

Jack being my name, the only thing to explain about my user name is perhaps the last four numbers, but then anyone that's been in the Services will know that's its impossible to forget your Service number no matter how hard you try! If you did forget you went to the rear of the pay queue until you remembered :( .  I demoded in 1980 and so as I can't lose it so I use it, well the last four numbers anyway.  :)

Newportnobby

I guess lots of you know where my forum name came from, but as Sprintex has given this a MASSIVE bump..............
I was born and raised in Wolverton (then Buckinghamshire) and did all my early trainspotting there. My dad worked in the Carriage Works so an interest in railways was pretty much inevitable. From Wolverton (on what is now the WCML) there ran a branch line to Newport Pagnell and the local train was known as Newport Nobby (or Nobby Newport).
Here's the history as per Wickedpedia

Sprintex

I had no idea it came from there Mick, quite interesting

On another forum (at least I think it was another and not this one) they had a similar thread and I told them that my username was my profession and that I trained fish. I think some actually believed me  ::)
