Good point and well made. At least you have a few pictures to remind you, every time I post in fact  :smiley-laughing:

it looks as though HB and I will be back to pounding the pavements again this week.
fields already thawing today, which resulted in HB [and me :'(] having a shower today after our walk, and with temperatures rising and more rain incoming next week, at least according to the Met Office  :hmmm: the fields will once again be off limits.

I'm afraid I see no point in bathing HB every day to remove the mud, plus the natural oils in his coat, just so he can have a run, IDOs and walkers permitting.

so it will be road work for now, and we'll wait till the fields dry out before we return there for the summer.

and they call this global warming >:D

for the last few days we've been squelching through the sodden meadows, but over the weekend, I took HB round the local roads, A to keep him less muddy, and B to wear his claws down a bit ...

today, decided after the weekend's rain to again take him round the roads ....

but on the way back the silly moo,{not our silly moo I hasten to add] had her pig out for a walk ..

HB into megga 'What?!' mode, and as the last time he saw the piggy he snapped a check chain, I tried to wrap his lead round his neck, and clip it onto the sliding ring, so that I had him on both check chain and a web collar

result .. he manged to get his paw over my wrist, which resulted in a wound from his dew claw...

so I'm bleeding,
he's going daft after the pig,
and she is letting the pig graze on the verge ...

situational awareness = 0
thoughts for others = 0

who the heck takes a pig for a walk down a road ??????

no wonder HB likes bacon rolls  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

To be fair she has a right to walk her pig in the same way you walk HB, Alan, odd though it is.
I've seen a bloke in Coalville many years ago who walked around the town with a live fox draped around his neck. That made every dog go mad!

Nbodger

You should try living where I live, they walk rabbits and ferrets on leads, drives Flo the cocker spaniel mad.

There was an eccentric French poet who used to take a lobster for a walk in the streets of Paris.

Presumably there was a succesion of several different lobsters ?

According to Derek & Clive they came from a certain Jayne Mansfield ;)

Comes up with 'Blocked site' ???

I can only guess that they don't like hyperlinking as it worked for me earlier. I've changed the link to a Wikipedia page now so it should work

That now comes up with 'Bad title' and a link to a French poet, Gerard.
