In a nutshell - THE PARALYMPICS   :claphappy: :claphappy: :claphappy:

Absolutely wonderful performances.   :jawdropping: :bounce:  :admiration:

Knocks general television out of the playing field,  however I wish the coverage was as good as the Olympics presentation on BBC.   :tv:

Same here. Come home from work, have tea and then sit down and watch some awesome sport. :claphappy: :claphappy: :claphappy:

Have watched more telly in the past 6-8 weeks than I have all the rest of the year.

The usual weekend chores, and my 5yr old's ballet classes started again.  I'm so proud of how seriously she takes them.. I admit, I'm a ballet dad and I'm comfortable with excessive pinkness!

I have even been known to practice pliés with her in  tesco!  ( ok ok it's a guilty pleasure, I'm the kid everyone laughed at cause I wanted to be a ballet dancer as a boy!

So that's why :) :)

Friends of mine are planning a "cultural visit" of Bath when I come over in November looking forward to sampling the "sights"  :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint:

That's another good spot to enjoy yourselves, bit to far for me but used to have a pal who lived there and always had to stay overnight when I went to see him

Funny enough I've got more wiring done during the Olympics/Paralympics than at any other time, nowt good to watch on telly if you hate sport  :D

Doing the accounts and tax stuff...     :veryangry:

I know what you mean, it's the end of my VAT quarter and that nice man at HMRC has sent me a reminder.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I wish!  Seriously, but I lacked 3 important things, talent, commitment and opportunity, this what happens when your mum takes you to see Nureyev for your 6th birthday.  :D

Banging on a Guitar in a band takes up far to much of my time in practice and performance and its hardly a labor of love as I do it for my wife to balance out my train activities  :help: :help: :help: we made a load of money out of it years ago and I thought we were past it  ???

Work on the layout has halted again.  It's taken two years just to complete the baseboards and put a test track (Kato) on it.  I did start the traverser, but that's still not finished.

So, the reasons why I can't carry on at the moment:-
Full time job, plus having to work overtime, wife who is 8 months pregnant, a 2 year old son, this forum, DIY in the house, trying to finish my workshop, and other general things that crop up. ::)  Roll on retirement!  :smiley-laughing:
