No rumours about new stuff yet. However Model Rail Scotland is on this weekend so it is possible we will get some hints there. Farish tend to play their cards a bit closer to their chests than Dapol.

Would be interesting to know when items from their last catalogue are emerging e.g. Blue Pullman
Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy

Ollie3440

Pendy - Last i've heard on the Blue Pullman is that it's set for an end of the year release. So my guess is that it'll be a Warley release.

As goes this years catalogue, i believe the following are more than likely:
- Class 105 Cravens
- Class 70
- Peppercorn A2
- The start of DCC Fitted locos.

And it wouldn't surprise me if we had a rival A3/A4 announced.

Either way i'll be happy with whatever they announce as if it's nowt i want then it gives me a year to save for something new lol.

Sorry, but I hope not. I don't like to see Dapol & Farish going head to head as it means we generally miss out on something we do want. Farish withdrew from the 9F (some wish they hadn't) and I would rather see something else new than watch a weeing contest in the small UK outline marketplace. :(

If they are going to do a 105 then they need to do the BR suburbans in blue as well !

Newportnobby - I think it makes sense in a way, the A4/A3 haven't been in the catalogue recently and they have an 8-wheel tender drive chassis from the A1. And judging how well the Farish B1 sold against the Dapol one somehow i don't think it'd put Farish off. Plus a personal opinion is that i'd rather a Farish one than a Dapol one (Hence why i've now got a Dapol Evening Star, i was waiting patiently for the Farish one)

I don't expect much brand new. Mostly new liveries or variations of existing models.

105: likely to be the next 1st Gen DMU but smart money is on 2013 release (just more 101s this year while they recoup the investement in that one and not flooding the market)
70: good call - I'd be suprised if there wasn't a new 'big diesel' of some sort and that could be it.
BP: Yes - last I heard was "Probably Warley"
A3/A4: Rumour was they were working on one or the other when Dapol sprang theirs - depends how far they have got, may either keep it up their slieves and wait and see how the Dapol versions go or anounce it as a 'spoiler'...

Other thoughts:
Any new big steam locos are likely to be what they can do to make the most of existing bits so A2s using the A1 tender drive a distinct possibility.
Original Paralel Boiler Scot could be done quite easily (just need to be careful of identities/dates because of Fowler > Stanier tender swaps)
Another mid c20 0-6-0 to follow the J39 (which others would fit that chassis?)

Maybe a smaller older diesel type possibly a new 25 or 31.

I really hope so, it is such an iconic loco and ran a railtour on the line I am modelling (B&NSR) in 1957.

However it may not be a case of just putting the 00 model in the shrink ray. Farish have been using tender drives for a while now and City of Truro has a fairly small tender. The reason (apparently) for the delay of the Ivatt 2MT has been the difficulty in getting a motor small enough to power it.

Possibly the new coreless motor debuting on the Sdt 5 will fit the bill. I certainly hope they manage to miniaturise CoT as I will definitely be up for one in 1957 condition.
