Quote from: Trainfish on Yesterday at 12:15:26 PMWhy do you keep your mustard in the fridge?  :hmmm:

Mustard, Jams and pickles on the top shelf. Because we can!

Quote from: Trainfish on Yesterday at 12:15:26 PMAnd where's the beer ?!?!?

Was in the wine fridge. Now...

Trainfish

That's definitely NOT 'beer'  :o

No. And it's all 0.0%.
Apart from the wine that is.

I sympathise with your freezer problems. We have had the same, twice, necessitating a panic ride down to Hove with the freezer contents in the boot to put into stepson #1's chest freezer. (which he has now got rid of, so God knows what we'll do next time...)

Quote from: Bob G on Yesterday at 11:38:05 AMSo on 27 Dec we contact Domestic & General who insure the item.
We complete an on line form and book a visit from a local electrician for 30 Dec.
Local = he lives in Leicester. We live 20 miles from Leicester.
He doesn't turn up. Doesn't answer the phone. Doesn't respond to emails.

Today (31/12) we try to contact D&G. You can only do this by their website.
We can't book a new appointment as the old one hasn't been signed off.
They have not returned our complaint.
They continue to take our monthly insurance fee.

I agree - D&G aren't worth the money. The only time we have tried to claim for a failed cooker they didn't offer us cash. They only offered us a replacement cooker of inferior quality, take it or leave it. We left it, and them. We've saved ourselves a fortune in premiums since then.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Cheers,

Chris

Just ordered some spares from Bachmann, great they have them in stock, but 30 quid for postage.
Really, it was only 25 a few weeks ago.
Still I suppose it is either get the spares of have the loco's sit in the display cabinet.

That's ridiculous. I guess it's aggregated P&P per item?

Maybe not. It's a long way to Tipperary Orstralia :hmmm:

Yes it is ridiculous, there were 10 axels and one bogie frame, I think they are also recovering the VAT. Last time it was a complete bogie which cost 25 and the postage was 25.
Will have to look elsewhere for the spares or get them shipped to my brother, and pick up from there.
Still, as George says, it could be because we are upside or as Mick says it is because we are a long way away.

The extra cost is probably to add magnets to them to stop them falling off the rails and bouncing on the ceiling. :bounce:

£30 for P&P seems a little excessive?  Can you see if you can email, get it reduced slightly?
