The Squidlet (18 months old) experienced an unexpected attack of flatulence the other day, the expression of surprise on his face was priceless.

We interrupt this post to note this M5.3 earthquake shaking Railsquid's trains

In unhappy news, aforesaid Squidlet had his 18 month checkup the other day, and idiot doctor decided he was a slow developer as he was unable to distinguish a giraffe from an elephant. Which is hardly surprising as he has only minimal exposure to either. Now, an octopus and a panda, he would have no problems with. Or a Shinkansen and a picture of a train which runs on our local line...

As I still find it difficult to move without my back jerking my body with spasms I've had to give up my seat on this Thursdays Scarborough Spa Express railway trip. Anyone going to York station between 11.30 and midday will see the steam loco booked to run York-Scarborough-York, currently booked as 8F 48151. :'(
I have X rays at the local hospital on Friday which, to me, are a waste of time as an MRI scan will show up soft tissue which an X ray won't so if I have a prolapsed disc as per my quack surely the MRI scan is the more obvious choice ???

Sorry that you are still having problems, Mick and you are having to give the trip a miss.

Do hope things can get sorted for you quickly.

Best wishes to all that are under the weather right now and hope things will be better soon.

NPN - Shame about the trip, as the following posts say - 'bit of a bummer'  :). As regards the disc, I, like you, can not see any point in an ordinary x-ray. When I had my MRI scan in May, that only just showed up a 'problem', so an x-ray would be have been totally useless. Which reminds me, hospital appointment should be arriving any time soon....

Not happy.
Rat chewed through some wires in my car last night.  Spent over an hour splicing in new bits.  >:(

To be called pompous and arrogant - hell of a come down.
I tried so hard to be snobbish and haughty.
