Moonglum

I remember "Come and Get It" but didn't know much about the band until now. "Without You" was written by two of them. Somehow, I have ended up listening to this brilliant (and previously featured) covers band again, this is perfect...

She does a good job hitting the low notes. Karen had a 3 octave range and her voice was very rich down low.

Very nice @Moonglum .

As for Bad Finger, I remember their singles and that they were brought under the wing of the Beatles to a certain extent and, if I recall correctly, they were signed up to the Apple label.

Correct, Martin. 'The Magic Christian' starred Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr and, IIRC, 'Come and get it' was written by Paul McCartney

As for the Carpenters, sorry but I hated them

Moonglum

No Mick @Newportnobby , I couldn't ever imagine you rushing out to buy a Carpenter's album! Nevertheless, Karen did have a good voice that shone through on some of their work. I think she lived a bit under the shadow of her brother. She produced a solo album that wasn't released at the time. Overall, I think the Carpenters were somewhat "Shmaltzy"...
