what are you listening to at the moment?

Thanks John @Trainfish , I think that there always has been split opinions over which is the best album DOTM or WYWH. However, it does say something that "we" are still listening to and enjoying both albums some 50 years later.

There seems to be an abundance of tribute bands around. I would guess that nearly half of the live acts at our local venues are so. I am not sure that this is a good thing or not. Some tribute bands such as Leonid and Friends are without doubt very talented and cover many bands and styles.

I'm not a fan of tribute bands if the originals are still going, I tend to see them as pub bands. There are some very good tribute bands around but unfortunately some awful ones too. And yes, WYWH is number 1 for me. I've been looking forward to next Wednesday night for almost a year now and I'm sure I will love it. This time next week it will be just finishing and I'll be running, ok maybe walking quickly, to catch the last train back to Chippenham

Some old Neil Young - 'After the Goldrush' and 'Harvest'

Harvest is a good'un. Not normally my cup of tea, but can't deny the guy's talent.

Chilling to some Focus - 'Eruption' and 'Focus II' from 'Moving Waves' and 'Focus III' from the album of the same name. Saw them at the De Montfort Hall, Leicester in the 70s and was blown away by their musicianship

I saw Focus just the once in the early 70s and like @Newportnobby I was blown away by both the musicianship and style of music.
In a way it was the same as other bands of the day but also very different.

These days I still listen to Focus occasionally but very much like Jan Akermaan's later stuff :

I've seen Focus a few times. The first time was in the early 1980s and the last time around 4 years ago. Brilliant every time and so much better live than recorded.
