I'm gonna stop looking at this thread. Don't enjoy being made to feel so old. If I want to do that I'll just look in the mirror ;D
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

Tim @Moonglum that Guru Guru track did nothing for me I'm afraid and @kusojiji that's the first time I've listened to anything by TDG in many a year.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

How's this for not ancient?

My cousin introduced me to this song. He and I lived in the bay area of California and we would travel to LA to visit one cousin and to Sacramento to vist another. He would bring his tape to play on the trip (yeah tapes) (oh sorry for the ancient again haha).

If you remain motionless while listening to this, then I reckon you have no pulse ;D

To me, Rory was a fabulous guitarist right up there amongst the very best.
I saw him three times in  the early 70s. He was always great value performing for over 2 hours and seemingly really enjoying himself.
Mrs PP, who I didn't know at the time saw him around 20 times in the same period.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Yep, I saw him in Taste at the Sunderland Empire back then too. Unconnected trivia: Sydney James dropped dead on the same stage.

Some SteamyStevie Nicks, which had to include this one with 'Waddy' Wachtel on geetar

Moonglum

That sounds better than the studio version to me Mick @Newportnobby. Here's one of my favourites by SN...

Moonglum

By the mid 1980's my musical tastes had somewhat changed. Heavy rock and progrock were distant memories, punk had thankfully been and gone, the New Romantics were fading and then this lady burst on to the scene. Every album she has produced is pure class and I have played them to death. Here from 2011 her last live DVD is Sade CBE with "Smooth Operator"...

Tim

Sorry had to add this...

I'm afraid I find Stevie Nicks' voice incredibly annoying so not a fan at all but have to agree that Sade is a class act.

Martin @port perran , I think Stevie Nicks has her moments (Dreams) but generally I preferred Christine McVie (RIP) on lead vocals with Fleetwood Mac.

I was just thinking the same thing about Stevie Nicks' voice. She sounds great when she's not forcing it. She kinda looked wigged out in the first video too.

Sade, though. Sultry.

She can sound as if she's overdone the helium a bit at times. I tend to prefer the 'rougher' vocals of Maggie Bell (Stone the Crows), Elkie Brooks (Vinegar Joe) and the like
