Thanks Tim.
Never heard of Space Elevator but I like it.
Like it enough to investigate further.

Cheers

I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Thanks Martin, here is Space Elevator covering Queen's "Innuendo"...

And a rather rough but fun version of Rush's "Spirit of Radio"...

Here is one for John @Trainfish , I normally don't go for tribute bands (bar a few exceptions); however, I thought this was interesting. I liked "Atom Heart Mother" and probably bought it after hearing "Meddle" and "Ummagumma" (pre DSOTM). See what you think...

I'm not a huge fan of tribute bands either unless of course they are very very good or I've never seen the original band. That is a very good version Tim.
We went to see this guy last weekend at the Southgate in Devizes. I'm not a huge fan of looping either especially when it's used to the extent he uses it but if you shut your eyes and listened at this gig, and I frequently did, then it was very good. And free. Not many people can do decent Floyd tracks on their own hence the looping.

Ps, where are these class 50s? I looked on the Dapol site but only saw 3. 2 of which were DCC sound and a green one.

Thank John @Trainfish , I will listen to the video later. The two Class 50s were under special offers but not really bargains (IMO).

Still listening to this band, 50 years ago I bought Argus.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Just announced, Wishbone Ash, ok so it's just Andy Powell from the original band and 3 others, will be playing the Corn Exchange in Devizes supported by Ruzz Guitar who I have seen many times in October 2024.

I was at the gig below:

Yep, I had that album. Great cover!

Dunno what happened to it, though  :(
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

Yep, I really like Wishbone Ash.
Argus was indeed a great album.

Here's a great little band that I've seen a couple of times in the last 25 years.

Andrew, you have inspired me to have a listen to early PG. "So" was my favourite but I have never been a huge fan. I did have a quick listen to "i/vo" - not sure either, perhaps a bit unfair but these days if a piece of music doesn't grab my attention straight away it tends to be a "miss"...

Tim

This is my all time favourite Gabriel track and you don't ses many artists preform whilst riding a pushbike around the stage either. It still surprises me how many people think this track is about Salisbury rather than Solsbury Hill though. I met a hippy type couple once on Pepperbox Hill just outside Salisbury who believed they were on Solsbury Hill. I politely explained to them they would have to drive their old battle bus to Batheaston to find the actual hill. I think they had also partaken in some form of illegal substance so I have no idea if they made it there but they did leave me and my then girlfriend in peace  :-*

Thanks for posting John @Trainfish , Peter Gabriel's departure from Genesis resulted in Genesis producing (IMO) their finest album in "A Trick of the Tail" and an excellent debut from Peter Gabriel; which, bore little resemblance Genesis (I had it on vinyl at long time ago).

Tim
