Well, went along to the Model Railway Club last night, and got a bit of good news/bad news:

Good news: it seems I won a prize in the raffle at the Weston-super-Mare MRE on Sunday.
Bad news: see picture below...

(Hint: The 'Blood and Custard' Mark 1 wasn't the prize...)

You won an alarm clock?
;D It's not an alarm clock, it's one of those radio-set clocks with weather station... and it wasn't the prize...

Looks like a nice fund-raiser for some decent N Gauge stock. ;)

I was thinking it could have been Waterman himself  >:D

So....will it be up for sale sometime to raise funds for slightly smaller stuff?
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Nice looking paper weight, quite useful what with all these strong winds of late.  >:D  ;D

Yes... it's a very nice model, so I'm having mixed feelings about what to to - either put it in a display case or use it to fund more smaller gauge stuff...

If the latter then it will be later on in the year when the impending ex-SR loco and passenger stock is finally released.

I've had a phone call this evening to say I've won something in the raffle aswell. It will be delivered to me on Saturday. I don't recall there being many N gauge items as prizes...
I've been contemplating joining the Nailsea & District MRC, maybe look into it a bit more this year.

You'll be welcome... we have a small N-Gauge exhibition layout under construction, but there's only a few of us and it's a struggle to keep it going.

Just received my prize:

As I expected, it's OO Gauge aswell. I'm sure I'll find a use for it though on another project.

Had a quick chat with Keith when he dropped it off, and I might come over to the Nailsea club on Tuesday if I'm not doing anything else (and as long as I can find the place okay  ;) ).

I just received my prize from last November's Rail-Ex Taunton - completely out of the blue. It seems I won two mega-tankers in the raffle. They're huge, though. I can't see them fitting on the track. Or they might be 00 Gauge. :D
