Sitting in the bath and trying to wash my face before I realised I'd still got my specs on.

In the days of analogue tv's I've tried adjusting the focus on a fuzzy tv once and after a couple of minutes realise I've not got my glasses on.  :-[

It is always a pleasure to know that I am not alone!
Each can do but little, BUT if each did that little, ALL would be done!

Putting a notepad in the microwave and some of the other things described here are often caused by having too many glasses!  :D :beers:

Lost my keys today, (or so I thought), I had a panic on for over a minute that I couldn't find em, until I realised I was still holding them  :-[

For years a genuine poltergeist really did move my glasses (which I only need for driving) to places in the house and attached garage which I hadn't visited to my certain memory.

Now that I have bought a pair of Oakley transition glasses with prescription lenses for cycling the poltergeist has given up. I put the Oakleys on and my normal glasses appear in such places as the middle of the duvet cover, on the roof of my wife's car, or hanging from the V neck of my pullover.

Before the Oakleys they could be missing for hours.

I keep a Solar powered torch in my hallway to use in emergencies - on Sunday decided to check it was OK in case of problems during the storm only find it was not there and I still can't find it - I certainly can't remember moving it but I suppose it will turn up eventually in a most unlikely place - very worrying

Just remembered this. A few years back my wife and I let her mother flail her arms and legs in the car for full 20 seconds before we told her she was tring to get out with her seat belt on. Wicked but nice.  :claphappy:

Its probably keeping my watch company! I put it somewhere "safe" 4 weeks ago now....
Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

QuoteI put it somewhere

I'd love to know where Somewhere is, it must be quite a large but cramped spot it seems everybody puts things "Somewhere" for them to never be seen again.

Another point strikes me, the bestway to find something you mislaid is to buy a new one, the mislaid one will reappear within a few days.
Cheers MIKE

It is close to Jeopardy, where all those jobs are  :D

This is very true, I lost my Swiss army knife and was very upset about this as it had travelled the world with me and I had owned it for many years.  I searched the internet and found they still made the same model so I bought one.  A week after the replacement arrived I noticed my old one lying in plain view on my desk.  I did not care that I now have two, I was just so happy to have my old and trusty friend back  :claphappy:

My safe place is meant to be my 'man drawer' but sadly it's not always the case.
If I lend books, DVD's, CD's etc to anyone I have to write it down and then keep that piece of paper in.........you guessed, a safe place ::)

Walked around in my new slippers for two weeks before realising I had left the cardboard stiffeners in them.

Sat watching the TV the other night, thinking I needed my eyes testing again as it was a bit blurry. Son walked in and asked why I was watching TV in 3D mode without the glasses on  :-[
People say I'm small minded and live in my own little world; maybe their right!

Slippers with cardboard toecaps - perfect safety footwear for the modern gentleman modeller  :D

I drove Clare mad for three weeks trying to find a pair of Woodland Scenics tunnel mouths I KNEW I had bought for my branch line to disappear into - we turned out every drawer, cupboard and bag of modelling stuff trying to find them.

Then as I was looking at the layout to do some scenery I noticed the road bridge I'd constructed a month earlier, made from a pair of dark-painted Woodland Scenics tunnel mouths . . .
