Oh dear, I know the song is hallowed turf for you Mick!

It's not so much that, Tim. What Skynyrd do is fine but, seriously, she does sound as if her teeth don't fit properly. :uneasy:
Have another listen

You are right, it's probably not her finest moment. I shall not bother listening to the rest of the album - sorry Dolly!

In 1990, my ship pulled in to Geraldton, Australia, alone, while the USS Midway battle group went to Perth. Unfortunately for us, Perth was only 90 miles away, so all the girls went there. All we had was a bunch of guys that wanted to party and drink, which was fine. At a party that the city hosted, when this song came up, everybody shut up and started singing.

GNR are one of the rock bands I quite enjoy plus I've seen them live.

Last couple of offerings are right up my alley.

Appetite for Destruction is one of the best freshmen albums ever.

Dang - I'd forgotten just how good that album is :admiration:

Didn't they do a cover of a song by C.C.S. on Led Zep II ?   :D  :D  :D

Moonglum

Ha ha @port perran ! Funnily enough I had the CCS version of "Whole Lotta Love" as a single before I heard the original and it took me a while to get into Led Zeppelin's version, CCS's version was of course used as the theme to "Top of the Pops".
