I am surprised that you didn't mention Seawind @kusojiji , another band from Hawaii. I had two of their albums on vinyl but not on CD. The Seawind Horn section popped up on all sorts of albums including Michael Jackson. "Light the Light" is highly recommended, here is a taster...

I like Kalapana.

Love Grease! Me and wifey watched the Sing-along version some years ago when it came to theaters.  We dressed up in period costumes.  Super fun!

Played this on 45 earlier. Reckon it's a first mention on this thread for Bob Seger

This song reminds me of rifle club practice in high school. I think it was 22's. Memory isn't serving me for that detail right now.

Thank you for the reminder Mick, I believe the concert is now to be shown on BBC4 (not sure of date but might be next week) and will be on iPlayer/BBC Sounds. I will update ASAP.

Have you guys heard of the 17-Year Locusts that come out in the USA? (They are actually Cicadas)

This was a seminal event in my childhood.

I was eight in the Spring of '82 when an eldritch horror visited my neck o' the woods... Army of Darkness...

Very nice!

I just did a search on locust swarms and Wiki had this about Albert's swarm in 1875 -

"the greatest concentration of animals ever speculatively guessed, according to Guinness World Records"

Guessed? in the Guiness world record? I can "guess" a much larger number... haha
