I officially began my UK Themed Black Douglas Vale today and only music will be played during train activity.

Very nice! I was wondering about the time of your post, but I see you are in the US. But then EtchedPixels came in soon after, burning the midnight oil!!

Probably my favourite Half Man Half Biscuit song except maybe Trumpton Riots
I believe John Peel was a great exponent of HMHB. I used to hear them pretty regularly on one of his shows.

I can't remember if The Waterboys have featured on here before?

Mrs PP and I saw them at Glastonbury in about 2005 or thereabouts and very good they were too.

Here they are a few years later on the Isle of Wight with what is possibly their best known offering:

Stingray.

Catching up!

Roxy Music - yes from a great album
Boz Scaggs - er not his best
Nirvana - no a bit weird (even for me)
Sixpence... - almost a no
Dracula - yes until the vocals kicked in
Half Man Half Biscuit - oh crumbs a definite no
Waterboys - OKish
Kraftwerk - sounds the same as everything that they do
