A band I know little about from 1970ish is Andwella.
I had the album World's End.
This, for me, is a standout track :

Moonglum

Very nice Martin... Not a band that I have heard of. Bob Downes on flute (just looked that up!)

Following on from your gig at Chepstow last week I took a shine to this...

Thanks Tim @Moonglum . Yes, Dorie Jackson, with her band, sang The Daylight Gate when I saw her supporting Solstice in Chepstow last week.

Solstice were excellent and so was Dorie Jackson whose band included her father who must be in his mid 70s.

I last saw her dad, some 52 years ago, playing in a reasonably well known prog rock band.
Does anyone know which band he used to be in?
And is 52 years between seeing a musician live some sort of record?

The passing away of John Lodge has led me to play the 'Blue Jays' album.
A bit sickly but, apart from The Moody Blues 'Collection', it's all I have :(

I hadn't realised that he'd passed but back in the day I was a big Moody Blues fan.
RIP JL.

Moonglum

I have just read about his passing on Facebook, always sad to hear. I have to say I never really got into the Moody Blues, I am afraid they lacked a bit of bite for me but I did like "Nights in White Satin"...

RIP John

I was a very big fan back in the 70s but, interestingly, I never really took to NIWS plus, of all the bands I saw live back in the day the Moodies somehow escaped me.

Newportnobby

Always a good track for the last dance of the night. If you couldn't get a girl then, you stood no chance ;)
