That prompted me to listen to the album for the first time in probably 50 years.
Apart from Hurry on Sundown I'm afraid it'll likely be the last time I listen to it.
Sorry, but for me it hasn't aged well  ::)
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

RIP Mick Ralphs (31 March 1944 - 24 June 2025 aged 81).

Sad to hear that Mick Ralphs passed away today. He was a founder member of Mott the Hoople and Bad Company. He collaborated with David Gilmour and formed his own band. Due to illness he has not been active since 2016. Here he is with Bad Company and one of their hits that he penned...

Loved that they used it in Supernatural. Loved that show.

Yep like that tight with a bit of bite! Thanks @kusojiji . You might like this...

I don't think that's Vin Diesel on drums. Originally from his prog-rock 1974 album - not something Todd Rundgren is normally associated with.

Cheers,

I recall SH's first three solo albums but his fourth album "Green" was the one that worked for me. It was produced by Nick Mason (Pink Floyd) and has "The Glorious OM Riff", a reworking of Gong's "Master Builder". If you like his "dance" side try out System 7. Here is a taster...

It's a quiet day at the pearly gates so Peter decides to take a moment to show some new arrivals around. As he's walking through the gardens this enormous guitar solo starts reverbrating through the air.

Seeing the confused looks on the new arrivals Peter turns and reassures them "It's ok that's God - he thinks he's Eric Clapton"

And definitely +1 for Steve Hillage Green, and of course it's mention in the Young Ones which is how quite a few people discovered him in the first place.

The Beeb have decided they will show Neil Young's set live from Glasto. I believe he's due on stage at 22.00hrs tonight so I hope I can remain awake and will just have to miss some much needed beauty sleep

Moonglum

Mick @Newportnobby , John Fogerty (CCR) is on at 19:00 (BBC4) if you are still awake!

I used to be young enough to enjoy Glastonbury and other festivals.

Maybe now I am questioning if i need sound on my locos!

Moonglum

Not quite sure what you mean there @zopadooper , but the brief glimpses of Glastonbury 2025 that I have seen so far have been pretty dire. I will catch up on I-player for the few bands I want to see and hear.
