George @Bealman , that's "Strangely Strange but Oddly Normal"!

Cheers,

Tim

Got that on 'Nice enough to eat' sampler album and I know George has that one too

I have noticed something "strange" about this thread Mick @Newportnobby , in comparison to other popular threads, there always seems to be a proportionately larger number of guests looking in  - 250 at the moment.

I am wondering if these are "bots"? Anyone else care to comment?

There are 224 at the moment. Just goes to show we have very good taste in music :D
Nothing we can do about 'guests'

A US band I listen to quite a bit is The National featuring their founder and vocalist Matt Berringer.
The band have built a big reputation for themselves and often collaborate with other artists including Taylor Swift.
Here's The National with Taylor Swift performing  Coney Island.
See what you think :

And here are the National on their own :
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

We have some very odd people on this forum but who let a Swiftie in  :smiley-laughing:

Now that's the first time that I have knowingly heard Taylor Swift, don't know how representative this song is but it is very pleasant indeed. Thank you Martin @port perran .

Ha...I'm no Swiftie but I think this particular collaboration is pretty good.
As with @Moonglum this is my only experience of Taylor Swift but in this case I'm rather impressed.

By the way, I've added another track
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

A track never far from my record deck and one I'd probably count in my 'Desert Island Discs'
Think it was the late great Johnnie Walker first bent my lugholes with it......

On reflection, more likely Whispering Bob Harris :hmmm:

Moonglum

This guy has been around for quite a while now and I first heard him in what was my "local" hi-fi shop when I worked in Swindon. See what you think of Italian guitarist Antonio Forcione...

Water in a washing up bowl as 'percussion'?
That's a new one on me :hmmm:

Just listened to some favourite Procul Harum tracks e.g. Whiter shade of pale, Homburg, Salty Dog and Pandora's Box.

A track I frequently play when a bit glum is this, and it always brightens my mood (click on 'Watch on YouTube')

That is a new one on me Tim and very nice indeed.

On a slightly similar theme, I may have highlighted these chaps before and if so, apologies :
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Mick @Newportnobby , your link has taken me to some rather jolly Bizet but I think that's the point (I was expecting Procol Harum)! Have you heard this...

The only PH record I had on vinyl.

Cheers,

Tim

@Moonglum
Tim, I have that track also on my CD 'The Collection' which features the tracks I mentioned above, Grand Hotel, Conquistador and many others
Thanks, anyway
