Living as I do down under, I usually end up on the floor. ;D

Having re-wheeled my Farish 57 foot Southern Railway 3rd. class corridor coaches, so they now run over the points, rather than falling off, I found a matching non-corridor 3rd./brake coach at Mansfield Toy Fair yesterday. Crosses the points OK, but has filthy plastic wheels, so back to Totally N Guage for another pack of wheels.

I will be setting off to make the 'hills' for the MOD depot soon, got all the components lined up and ready to go, picyures should be in a few days when all paint and glue has dried.

And maybe even a video of a test run for the 'public'
OK who took my cake?

Been fed up not being able to do any modelling due to stitches in finger (don't ask - b* craft knife) but decided to do some track painting today to keep myself occupied, how am I going to explain to the hospital on Wednesday why all my stitches have turned rusty!

You could always try: "The rust must have come off the stitching needle that was used Nurse".  ;D

I'm currently putting together an old Peckett kit I started years ago when it was most definitely too hard.

Some rescue work done and the other body bits fitted and it looks passable if a bit battered. Given many real industrial Pecketts tended to look like they'd gone twelve rounds with a chieftan tank I suspect with enough crud I'll get away with it 8)

Unfortunately while trying to split the cylinder block of the donor chassis into two I've managed to fire one half of it into the distance at high speed and it seems to have vanished forever.

When I was at school they told me that MDF wouldn't conduct electricity?  ???   ;) :smiley-laughing:

Malc

It will when it is wet!  ;D
Don't believe everything they tell you at school. Apparently the world isn't flat like they told me!
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Been running any TC's to Weymouth? Not quite the right variant but the Dapol 33 might be useful to you...!!

I don't offer a direct service to Weymouth, but frequent connections via Yeovil or Southampton.

I use a 4TC and Farish 33 for S.Central - S.South (reverse) - Yeovil trains in between the Exeters, and a 6TC for peak Waterloo-Yeovils (73 at the London end handing over to a 33 at the country end at S.South).

I'll reserve judgement on the Dapol 33 until I see it, but if it's as good as the 26/27, I'll be very tempted.
