The station looks great.

Are you sure it is chimney pots and not pint pots that you are still to do? :smiley-laughing:
Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy

Hope youv'e been  wearing a pair  of  safety glasses when cutting Nobby  those offcuts  move as fast as a bullet from the xurons.

Yes, indeed. Some years ago a fellow at our local club was using a Dremel to cut trackwork and I said, "you should be wearing glasses when you're doing that, mate" A minute later half of the cutting disc was neatly stuck in the end of his nose. Could have been his eye. Safety First, always.

Not tonight, this morning actually . . .

Cleaning wheels and gluing coupling springs  ;)

Recently acquired 12 PGA hoppers and 2 con-flats from Ebay - do some people NEVER clean their track/wheels??  ???

The hoppers weren't too bad but the conflats were thick with black goo. Some time ago I cleaned every wheel on every loco, DMU, coach and wagon (as detailed HERE) and nothing now gets near my layout or test track without the same treatment.

Likewise all stock now has the coupling springs glued to the Rapido coupling. The one-and-only time my layout has been shown, at the 2009 NGS AGM as part of the Modern Image Layout competition, I suffered two derailments where coupling springs pinged off into the ether never to be seen again!  ::) So now ALL stock has springs superglued to the coupling to prevent a repeat  ;)

Sone days I think some people ebay their stock and buy clean ones !

Bit like donating your clothes to Oxfam and then buying them back when they've been cleaned 8)

Last night  did  more on the signal box module addded  a  pair of  feeder wires  to ensure  power   is   present  in  the tracks  running   parallel   to the box.

Ballasted &   weathered the sleepers the rails  need attention  still, now just deciding on the  groundcover    &  blending it  in,  also   one or two features  to  give the scene more life.

OMWB;

I've spent the weekend re-arranging windows on Lima Pullman LITS coaches to form the cars for a Brighton Belle. Just one side of one kitchen car to do, the other one is complete, so too is the third trailer and the two motor driving brakes (although one needs a cab roof). It's been like re-arranging deck-chairs on the Titanic.

What modelling have you done?

H.

Alex

Nice looking coaches H. I hate cuting out windows as I always get 1-2 that are not perfectly square, or are slightly larger than the rest.

Tonight I 'as been mostly....................painting little people for Big Al's Diner. I forgot how boring that part of the hobby can be.
