Thanks Dave! Glad to hear he is on the mend! Hate that he's having trouble with his eyesight as I know that can make you absolutely batty but I'm glad he's on the right track :)

I'm pleased to say I have discharged myself from my Mother's care and so yesterday was reunited with my lovely cat (Hookey) in the comfort of my own house cuddled up together. Owing to the difficulties experienced in my op my eyesight is still not 100% but I do feel heaps better (thanks, Mum!).
Lots of follow up appointments with consultants and my GP to follow, and I can't drive for many months to come, but I'm sure I'll get there.
I have been staggered by the sheer volume and sentiments of this thread so, again, must thank you all, particularly those who sent cards/pressies either directly or via Lawrence (who himself has been off work ill since I went in for my op).
With so much to catch up on I cannot say normal service has been resumed but I'll try and be here with any help and as much banter as I can muster ;D

Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Welcome home.
Take it easy and don't rush things at all.
It must feel really good to be back home and we're all looking forward to seeing your posts on here again.
Keep smiling.

I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

:)Great to know your back and starting to monitor the Forum again. Wishing you all the best and hope the eyes improve otherwise you may have to go over to the 'dark side'  :'(

Great to learn you are back at home Mick.

If our cats are anything to go by I'm sure Hookey will be keeping a very close eye on you and looking after you.

I look forward to the witty banter resuming, for sure it has been missed!

Geoff

Glad you are back home Mick, I hope your eyes get back to normal soon.

Mick, really glad you are back home. Keep up the good work & remember not to try too much too soon. I know that some days you feel you can take on the world but at least your cat isn't going to nag you too much! "Yes dear just be a minute" Her that must be obeyed calling, hehehe! Catch you later.
Regards
Chris
P.S. going to work on No1 sons hill climber really!

Good to hear from you Mick.

Not surprised about your eyesight... I heard that an extended sleepover with a bunch of nurses can have that effect.  :-[
