Time to get eating plenty of spinach to make you strong.

'Newportpopeye' does not have the same ring does it?  :D :D. Good to have you back Mick. David.
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

Welcome back from me too. I hope you didn't tire the nurses too much ;)
You know you're getting older when your mind makes commitments your body can't meet.

OMG does this mean we will all be subjected to abuse and wit again soon? The Forum has been rather quiet of late so perhaps normal service will be shortly resumed.

Looking forward to hearing all about his DCC malarky, and hope he continues to gain strength.

Good to hear you are alright Mick, take care and go easy on the beer and sex. At least for a week or two. :-*
Another house move despite "never again" has given me a second floor layout so Geominster Mainline & Heritage Line will be modified and enlarged with siding storage.

My Facebook Diary is Geominster if anyone wants to view it please ask, it is a private group requiring acceptance, thanks.

This then is my third version modified which has been improved from previous efforts and lessons learned.

Geominster was my first project which has now been dismantled. Having learnt so much from  previous Geominster projects this is the latest one.

Latest Youtube video is here.

:claphappy: Great to see you back Mick!

Best wishes for a quick recovery from me and the boss(Maz).

This forum has been too quiet without you!

Cheers

Too quiet here without you, Mick.
I bet the nurses are enjoying the peace now you're gone.

As it happens... I don't have a bloody layout to be building. Did you miss my post? The thing is in bits and in storage waiting for a permanent home. So, thanks for rubbing salt in that wound. Nothing to do here but fuss and worry.

(And build Airfix racing car kits. And tank kits. And ship kits. And collect rolling stock. And build my space shuttle launch pad model. And all the things on my wife's to do list).

Take it easy and enjoy your NGF celebrity status.

I'm a personality prototype... you can tell, can't you.

Hope your well enough for York, for a beer and a dirty doner.

Don't know about dirty donner.....dirty Sue and dirty Tracey might be able to make it...... ;)

Now now....We don't want to get him too excited!  :D

I hadn't picked up on this thread until now - was starting to wonder where you were Mick. Hope you didn't give the nurses a fright ... or shoukd that be hope the nurses didn't give you a fright!

Sounds like you're on the mend now so I'll toast to you next time I'm having a tipple and I'm wishing you a speedy recovery - no doubt taking it easy will help.

Looking forward to your usual banter!

QuoteWhat can I say to you all apart from 'Shame & Fie', Brothers and sisters, Shame and Fie.
Do you not have model railways/railroads to build and maintain rather than make embarrassing remarks about a silly old fool who is so woozey he is having trouble typing anything :-[

A huge 'Thank You' to all who have responded to Lawrence's roll call, and I hope to be back amongst you very soon and with better news

Welcome back NN, glad you are out of hospital. I can't begin to imagine the procedures you have been through.

I also won't give you any advice about "taking it easy", seeing as its none of mine!

What I will say is, unlike me, you have a pretty good excuse to not be doing anything more strenuous than watching the trains go by!

Papyrus

...and welcome back from me, too.

Just think, if you hadn't gone into hospital you'd have hit 20,000 posts by now! Come on, you're 500 behind.  :D

All the best,

Chris

Jerry - wherabouts is Lucca where you live?

In May the misses and I are staying by Lake Garda with trips to Venice & Verona thrown in.
I personaly have never visited Italy before, but the wife has been to Venice and wanted to return.

Stragely enough an Italian chap from Venice used to run a local Bar here in Los Cristianos (called "Bellinis"), and his name was Luca, but he and his family returned to Venice some years ago now, and he used to serve up some great Italian Lasangna in his Bar every Thursday night.
