To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

Not an avid fan of cycling (unlike a certain mod), but thought I'd watch the Tour Of Britain as they were due to ride very close to our house. Watching on ITV4 and what should happen, ADVERTS!!! Started at least 2 miles from where we live and then back to the race 1/2 a mile after. Can you imagine the outcry if they did this on a live football match!!!!

Overdosing today. Am in the 4th hour of MotoGP, then will be watching the 3rd T20 v the Kiwis then recording La Vuelta while the F1 is on

You obviously don't have time to read the Forum then, so I conclude that your post was written by an AI chatbot...

Last month I spent a long weekend in London, city of my birth, which was very nice.

However, I was disappointed to discover that there there is now an entry fee of £23 per person (outside of office hours) to visit St. Paul's cathedral. It used to be free.

What happens to this money ?

Has the king's shilling become the king's £23 ?

Took my car through a car wash on Monday. Went out to it this morning and it was plastered in muck so I just took it again. Nose to tail in the car wash this time and one of my neighbours was 4 cars in front.
I believe we had some rain last night and it must have brought some filth in it, maybe from the desert.
Anyone further sarf suffer??

Well I am further west, does that count? We had some rain late yesterday afternoon. When I picked Louisa up from work, she remarked on the dirty windows. As I said to her, "we have just had some mucky rain".

In fact we have had thunder rolling about the sky for the last hour or so and it has just started pis raining heavily - hopefully this will be 'clean' rain.  :)

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Belay the foregoing - ruddy great hailstones are coming down now. There is that much water that the gutters at the back of the house are not coping, there is a river running down the drive and the TV has lost the satellite signal - and there is still thunder about! Hopefully we don't get the lightning which has a habit of knocking out the ..... no I won't say it!  ;)

Does the pope charge £23 to visit the Vatican ? No - he has an even better scam. He would have us believe that the Vatican is an indepedent sovereign state with its own postal service. So, you buy your postcards and stamps from the Vatican post office, you send them to your nearest and dearest, and they disappear into - who knows where ?

ps My daughter was on holiday in Sicily last month. I'm still waiting for the postcard

Me and my big mouth! Ten minutes after posting this - yup - there was a huge clap of thunder, (I thought to myself, "Heck, that was loud" or words to that effect), and the electric went off. It came back on about 6.30pm so it wasn't too bad this time.

You and Louisa should have held your hands up because, as we all know, many hands make light work
