Colour Change

Did the 'unread' icon change from green to white or is it just me?

I preferred the green as the white is much harder to see on my iPhone against the pale background. Can I change a setting or is that a non optional change?

Likewise, I'm finding it a bit hard to spot (not to mention the new icons are generally a bit glaring).

Yes, I changed it yesterday to make the forum more uniformed in terms of colours. I thought that the two images would be good in terms of looking different. $:-\$ If people don't like them then I'll change them back.

What about (and the Commuter Tube collectors could probably suggest appropriate EMUs here) having the icons as the front of an EMU, red one for read and green for new? (actually grey or something otherwise neutral for read may be even better).

Yes, I can see what you mean about making the colours uniform. I agree it is a much cleaner look too. Just not as user friendly. I'm fine either way as I don't want to make life difficult, bu if you do feel like a change I would vote for something less white. BR blue maybe?

I like the idea of the EMU cab ends.....maybe a 4CEP to celebrate the breakthrough in N Gauge?!

No problem Mark. Let's see what other members think, and then I'll either keep them as they are, or change them. Maybe it would be good to change them to a railway related item..... My mind is now ticking!

Semaphore signals would seem like a good choice?!

Yup, that's the idea! Home on red for no new posts, and Distant on green for new posts.

I'm just trying to work out the coding for changing the current .gif files to .png files on the forum. $:-\$
