At long last a Gold for Team GB.

Well done ladies, hope your example is reflected throughout the rest of the team.

Congrats girls and see this has been followed up by Wiggo annihilating the opposition.

Amazing victory and so glad I stayed up to watch.  Nice touch cycling back out afterwards to say Thanks to all the fans.

Bet you wont get decent odds for Sports Personality of the Year ! :smiley-laughing: :smiley-laughing:

We also beat Brazil in the soccer (despite missing a penalty). I know that there is a long way to go before a medal can be considered but beating Brazil is a hell of an achievement whether it is in mens or womens football.

Gold and Silver in the two man canoe slalom now.

The flood gates begin to open 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 4 Bronze to date taking Team GB to number 5 in the table.

Apart from the poor girl that had her jaw broken by being hit in the face with a hockey stick and she is planning on playing in more matches.

Statistically speaking - ladies(?) hockey is one of the most dangerous sports played! Second only to Equestrian among the Summer Olympic events!

Tell me about it. I used to go to a mixed school in my yoof and we had to play hockey against the girls. By heck, they were vicious :o No talk of 'the fairer sex' there - they would just flatten you by any means, fair or foul :P
