It or the Bodo line are on my todo list - the freight locos on the Narvik line are really impressive beasts as well which makes it tempting too.

Bodo at least you can enjoy in realtime video. Not sure its the longest video on youtube but its quite long.. and there are four seasons of it!

We started in Oslo and took the train to Trondheim, then on to Bodø by train, boat to Svolvaer in the Lofoten Islands, to Narvik by coach, then Kiruna by train. Flew back from Kiruna at silly o'clock on Saturday. Excellent trip and we did see the Northern Lights. The snowy scenery and frozen lakes and rivers was spectacular. All I need now is a week to recover.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

As I'm dieting-down/training for an upcoming fitness test, that plate of fat and carbs looks amazing!

The food pictures are mere memories from my pre-heart attack days (they hurt a lot and the things they do to you afterwards are very scary). Cholesterol 2.4 nowadays and have eaten boringly for 7 years now. But you will be OK.

Clare wouldn't dare, end up with her hand speared to the table with a fork otherwise ;D

That would be especially cheeky too since I made them! :P

Brekkie Kiwi-style. It's already half gone - I was hungry that day (thirsty too, as you can see).

Geographically, that's Lake Taupo in the background, with the snow-capped volcanoes of the North Island in the distance.
