I shall be absent from the forum for about 7-10 days as of 2400 hrs tonight
Busy reconfiguring Laptop (Web browser and other software)  ::)
My Broadband and phone are  on T-Mobile and am trying to sort out a supplier who will give me better signal and a slightly faster speed.
Phone needs a new battery as only getting 45 mins on a charge - no I won't go to a more modern phone , I like the one I have -and I am waiting for the unlock code.

A few weeks ago I was in the same position as you regarding my mobile phone. I think Noah had one the same as me but I liked it. However, as with yours the battery no longer lasted. I looked at Tesco Mobile and they offered me a Blackberry for £10 a month which was hard to refuse with I think 500 minutes and loads of texts, internet etc. So, I know you say you don't want to change, just like I didn't, but it may be worth a look. 3 of my friends have already changed. Also, Tesco use the O2 network which in my experience has been the best coverage for a long time so there's no worries there.

Good luck Mike!  I had to change from O2 to Orange this year (after 8 years with O2) as I couldn't get a signal at work.  Now I barely get a signal at home with Orange. ::)   :smiley-laughing:

Don't the 2 Bean cans and a bit of string work anymore?  :smiley-laughing:

Good luck with everything oldman

Regarding networks, I have been with T-mob, Orange, 02 and Vodafone,
And I can honestly say un biased that Vodafone win on coverage. Very rare with vodafone did I not get signal.

Thanks Guys.
Got the unlock code for my old android phone just now.
Just got to wait for my stepson to get home so I can check his Sim card works in the phone and I know can get the coverage.
Vodaphone only has 2G where we are, so need to try O2, gave up with 3 as no signal at all when we moved here.

Dunno why but signal round me is appalling.
Orange, Vodaphone, Virgin, O2, T-Mobile etc are all rubbish despite their websites saying reception is good. At one stage Orange/Vodaphone wanted to put a new mast up but the local council said no way.
I have a works O2 mobile which doesn't function at work as well ;D

Odd really as Lawrence got a signal with no issue ???

Erm.... am I missing something here 8) Surely it's appalling because the council refused to let them put a mast up 8)

Misread the title as 'Absinthe'

Now that would be an excuse....

Hope you get your network supplier problems sorted OK. Look on the bright side though,  no internet etc means you can spend more time modelling (OK I'm trying to find my coat...)

It's always been bad but I had hoped the new mast would improve things. If anyone has seen Peter Kay waving his arm in the air to get a signal, then that's me at the top of the garden. Trouble is my eyesight is not good enough to read a text at arms length 8)

Have you tried an outside aerial?
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I'm back but currently only using the mobile so can check what is going on.
Nothiing happening on the train front at the moment.
