IMHO its sad that Spitting Image has never been equalled or the format revisited. Our current politicians look ripe for a good ripping 8)

Oddly enough, I was just discussing that with someone t'other day.
If they can't use the material we have at present it will never come back :smiley-laughing:

You should follow @queen_uk on twitter - its the Spitting Image Queen Character but on Twitter...

Another old favorite of mine was Friday Night Live - Ben Elton ranting about Mrs T, Harry Enfield as Stavros the Kebab Shop owner etc....  After the Pub on a Friday it was Hilarious but stanrely was never as funny when it moved to Saturday Night...

I always watch QI, Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, Russell Howard, Ross Noble. I'm just about old enough to have watched That Was the Week that Was and At Last the 1948 Show (after my paper round) first time round.  Don't forget and Monty Python, Black Adder, Not the 9 o'clock News, Fawlty Towers, Morecambe and Wise, The Young Ones and The Two Ronnies. What about Comic Strip, particularly Five go Mad in Dorset but there were many other memorable episodes. A lot of them can be found on things like 4oD and BBC iplayer still.

Trouble is, the present bunch are all grey men in suits. Where are the characters like Tarzan, Maggie etc?
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

There is an old saying from China originally I believe

"Nothing is as funny as seeing your neighbour fall off his roof"

It's horribly true 8)
