Typically many on the list are already available as either RTR or a kit. Seems a rather wasted exercise. But then I didn't bother to vote.  ;D

It's a bit like voting in the general election - whoever you vote for, the Government still gets in.  :smiley-laughing:

Interesting that level of votes is about 10% that of OO.  What would be the % of sales between the two...

Historically N gauge has usually been seen as about 10% the size of the 00 market so those numbers tally quite well. I beleive N gauge's market share has grown in the last year or so though.

Just had a look down the list and I'm surprised the 59 isn't higher.

Its available from CJM if you *really* want one, and its not hard to tweak a 66 to look fairly close if you are less fussy.

I'd buy the LMS Twins as well, not not my era, but just love the early Diesel Prototypes, a Fell Diesel anyone  ;) ;)

I was wondering about that yesterday while dismantling the new 08 chassis. A pair of those with one axle removed and you'd be well away.

Don't think the Fell is going to appear RTR in a hurry.

I am still vaguely annoyed they forgot to include the Castle in the list of GWR locos. I mentioned it to them and they acknowledged they had left it out by mistake but didn't bother putting it back in.

Add me to the 'Schools' list  ;D

I see also the class 25 finally gets some good votes (come on farish, the 24 only needs a few mods !).

I'm not supprised at the low N turn out in that poll, BRM seems to have little in the way of N articles - perhaps a decent in depth poll on here would give a better picture of what N modellers want...
If it's got rails... you have my full, undivided attention - Steam, diesel and electric, 'tis all good !

Apart from last month's issue that was an N Gauge special!

missed that then... truth be known i don't buy BRM mostly because of lack of N stuff, one special isn't gonna convince me !

At moment i only get Model Railroader as i'm building a US Layout (not much N either - i can't win...  >:()
but i do occasionally get Railway Modeller or Model rail

Nobby,
Are you not allowing emu's or dmu's in your vote, is it locos only?

(declared interest, we desperately need 185s for Northallerton !)

Cheers

Yep, and it's actually not that difficult to convert a 66 to a 59 that is more than just a cosmetic tweak;

and there's even a BHE class 59 kit (although I don't know if it's still available).

Hi Kirky,

Vote under diesel/electric

Hmm, that could skew the results as most of these polls include Multiple Units as a separate category. Under your suggestion, voting for three EMUs would prevent anyone for also voting for three diesel locomotives (but you could also vote for three steam locos).
