Buffer stop options...

Simple enough question.

I need some buffer stops. In an ideal world I'd use the etched 2mm Society ones, but I've already laid and wired the track and for a number of reasons the track and the wiring are NOT changing.

So, I need buffer stops that can be retrofitted on top of the track. I'm not particularly looking for period accurate, its for Brookline which is steam to diesel, US to UK.

If anyone has any examples of nice scratch built versions, I'm happy to roll up my sleeves.

I recall plastic ones in the past, but I'm struggling to find anything by anyone at the moment.

I have a few Peco SL-340 buffer stops.  These are the ones that are models of the rail-built kind.

I've made a 3D printed (Shapeways) one in RhB style which just glues to the track. Probably not the style you are looking for though.

Loads of types out there from various makers, in etched metal or plastic. Most of the track system manufacturers offer buffer stops, sometimes pre-fitted to short track sections but you can separate them.  Just depends what style you want.  Google will find them for you. 

The two Peco types are readily available.  I tend to use the Fleischmann (ex Roco), Arnold or Gaugemaster (Minitrix)  stops but of course I'm running German. Proses do one with a built-in light.

US style stops tend to look different to UK, due to the lack of buffers on US stock.

Thanks for the offers of buffer stops too.

I've ordered myself some Ancorton models laser cut sleeper type 'box' buffer stops. Although they're not common on UK rails, and less common on US rails I think they're the most viable, plausible option to cover all bases.
