Hi All

Firstly, thank you for the help so far.

If I want to build houses etc from scratch, what thickness of plasticard would be ideal for houses etc?

Thanks in advance
Paul

Hi Paul,

With my buildings I usually start with a base of 40tho, internal walls of 40tho, end walls of 40tho, unless windows / doors in them, then use 20tho. Other external walls with doors/ windows then 20tho.

All outside walls I then bond a 20tho layer of embossed brick, stone etc, cutting out the window and door openings after.

Roofs generally 20tho plus tiles/ slates added, but depends how you wish to finish.

I always allow a min of 10mm below door openings to allow embedment within the layout.

Hope this is of use

An alternative type tiling  is available from York Model, self adhesive and quite efective
